Anyone know how much it might cost to get a new boiler put into our bathroom, we do have a gas pipe close to bathroom!I have a baxi back boiler ive just been told i will need a new one! Advise please?
Hi, In all you will have to budget for at least 拢3500 for a Professional installation. Hope this helps:):):)I have a baxi back boiler ive just been told i will need a new one! Advise please?
Back boilers are not very efficient but they are pretty reliable. If your boiler is a bermuda 675 or a 551 then you might struggle in getting certain parts it,if its a 552 or a 401 then parts for these appliances will be around for some years to come.Just because the boiler is old does not make it dangerous,as long as its been properly maintained over the years it will be fine.

British gas engineers have an certain onus to make extra money from their customers by offering them needless upgrades and power flushes at inflated prices.

Stick with your old boiler until you are ready to renew it.If an BG engineer condemns it then be sure to question their reasons and seek another opinion.

British gas are the biggest robbing bandits in the industry.
between 拢600-拢1000
bg have this thing about condemning boiler .ask for a reason before you go for a new boiler. and if you allow 拢2000.00 to 2500.this should be more like it .拢600.00 to 拢1000.00 for a bodge job maybe. there are corgi registered cowboys out there.(to be capita from march)
The word which comes to mind regarding anything to do with boilers and plumbing or both, is expensive.

However, fear not. Check the Baxi website and see what's on offer. If you can get terms etc.

Tell Baxi who you are and then enter the site.

I'm with you all the way. I've spent a small fortune having a completely new system put in. The old sys was put in sometime in the 1960s - we think. Cost a mint but now at least we can have the heating on for thirty minutes each day - times is hard.

Good luck and don't worry, they probably offer good terms - spread the load over a couple of years. It costs more, but the monthly payment should hopefully be on budget.
quite normal for back boilers to fail gas safety tests nowadays, your next decision is do you want convential boiler or combination boiler, the cost for either depends on what make ect, normally 500-1100 depending on make and model, as for moving upstairs, it shouldnt be a problem, you say you have gas near by, but quite possible it is not up to spec so will have to be re-run in new pipe, system must be flushed also or warranties will not apply.. any questions e-mail me. .co.uk
Depends on how big a boiler you need, But an average price for a Combi would be about 拢600 without fitting. You will need a 22mm pipe for the gas feed to the boiler
