i am looking to buy a used 4x4 and cant decide what one is best...has anyone any experience good or bad with the nissan x trail, jeep cherokee or landrover freelander... all with a diesel engine. All opinions greatfully recieved!!I am looking for a reliable 4x4. Which is best, jeep cherokee, nissan xtrail or freelander? Can anyone advise?
Well my brother has an 08' LR3 and that thing is a tank. Ive driven it a lot and all i hear is how amazing it is, very stable and safe yet nimble. Its fun to drive and can take one hell of a beating. On the other hand i have an 06' Cherokee SRT8 (I decided to indulge a little =]) and it is awesome. The nissan i have heard ok things about, but something about the electronic seats breaking has happened to a few people i know. Budget is everything tho, and im sure you would be completely satisfied with a landrover or cherokee.I am looking for a reliable 4x4. Which is best, jeep cherokee, nissan xtrail or freelander? i had a grand cherokee and would definately go for another if they werent so juicy. reliable and great fun to drive.lots of gadgets, easy to park for a bigger car.
my mate is a dealer and told me never touch a freelander altho the newer ones are much better than they were.
hope that helps
I drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee %26amp; absolutely love it. I will never drive another vehicle unless it is a cherokee.
This is my second one this year.. the first I was in a bad accident with, where it rolled 3x. I made it out with only a scratch. It held up very well %26amp; kept me alive!
Overall I love the features it has (mine is a Special Edition) I love the sun roof %26amp; leather seats. It drives good as well. Does very well in the snow (not sure if you are in an area with snow or now..)
I definitely recommend the Jeep. I think you will be really satisfied with it.
you can get Land Rover LR3s relatively cheap right now... it's amazing what it can do off-road... not sure any of the ones you mentioned are available in the States with diesel engines...
while I love LR3s, I would stay away from the Freelander... it's too small and doesn't have enough torque to tow anything... also, it was originally brought to market in 1997 -- its just old technology now...
