It's a good idea to upgrade, the bargain price will get you a bargain suit that will look like a bargain suit. Just be careful that the price is reasonable for the material you want. Also, don't buy from a tailor that promises a suit overnight, you should have three fittings including the initial fitting and a couple of fittings along the way to make any adjustments. A good suit or sportcoat won't be dirt cheap, you often get what you pay for, but should still be a very good price compared to what you would pay in most western countries. If you have any pictures of a suit you like or a coat that you want copied in a different fabric, it won't hurt to bring them with you.
