I have seen the from just mopping the floor to cutting the sheetrock 4' up to dry all the water in the walls. One of the big issues these days thanks to all the lawsuits is black mold. Many insurance companies are making water damage, black mold, etc as extra riders to the policy. Hopefully your insurance takes care of it. Best of luck.A pipe broke and flooded my house all weekend. I only hope you have ';home-owners'; insurance and, they know you weren't negligent.A pipe broke and flooded my house all weekend. Who can give me the best advise on what to do to make it new ag
Contact your home owner's insurance company and file a claim. Depending on how bad the water damage was, you'll need to replace everything that you cannot salvage. Not sure where you live, but make sure you check for places where mold can grow and clean those out. If you want to make everything new, I would replace all the flooring.
I know someone who this happened to; a pipe burst in the winter when the heat went off and flooded the house. The repair bill came to over $50,000.
Depends how bad your flood was. Contact your homeowners insurance.
