Ah, the others are exaggerating a bit. I know a number of people that have a good time boating down on the river. My best advice would be to remember to stay way out of the way of the barges. Get a tetanus shot before you go to the water. Ask your doctor if you should get any other vaccinations. It's safe to assume that you will be boating in raw sewage.
