Lawyers all over the world have bad reputation...true enough...but trying to register land ( your 1st biggest investment ) without using one is asking for trouble. The nightmare you'll experience if things are not in order outweighs your desire to not use one !
I suggest you fly to Jamaica ( after the holidays ) and ';shop'; for a good real estate attorney. Get a contract written that stipulates what exactly he will do for you, a timeline to get it done, and a price for those services....even lawyers can be sued for negligence.

I am worried about my future, career-wise, please advise?
I've done the schooling, college and now I have just started a gardening business. It is hard, I feel I am way over my head, and I haven't the experience to tackle a lot of jobs. All I have is hard work, and the tiniest bit of know how. I don't know how long I want to do this. What else is there? That is always the problem - 'better the devil you know'. Writing and journalism? Film? These are the other two options in my head. Ahhh so much uncertainty and worry. Thoughts?I am worried about my future, career-wise, please advise?

Just typical summer wear will do, i.e. T-shirt and short pants. You don't need any jacket or sweater. Anyway, please do not dress up to too ';sexy'; for your own safety during night time as there are recently some sex crime cases. Do you have anyone to bring you around in KL? Well, personally because I don't recommend you to take the taxi in KL unless you really need it. A place where you must visit is the KLCC, especially during night time. I find the best thing to do in KL is hanging around at those shopping complex like Sungai Wang, Lot 10, Starhill, Mid Valley, 1 Utama and KLCC. You may like to hang out at Bukit Bintang Walk and Bangsar for pubs and discos. One thing worth mentioning, which is watching movies in KL. It is claimed to be the cheapest movie ticket price in the world! If you have got extra time, you may travel to Sunway Pyramid Shopping Centre or Sunway Lagoon Park at Sunway. Also, you may travel up to Genting Highland for casino and theme parks (you may need to wear a long sleeve shirt for this place). Anyway, do you know that Malaysia is a food paradise? You can find all sort of food in Kuala Lumpur! =D

Tank top with no sleeves and bermudas is alright, except if you plan to visit religious places. We have heavy thunderstorms in November (usually in the evenings), so be sure to bring a small umbrella.

I dont have a contract and my boss says he'll only pay 1 months sick pay. Advise required?
I am currently on sick leave from work with stress. I have provided my employer with the relevant doctors note which tells me to refrain from work for 2 weeks. This is the second 2 week note that I have handed in. The note runs out this Thusday.
During this period I have been paid full sick pay by my employer. However, I received a telephone call from my manager earlier today to tell me that this Thusday will be the end of my sick pay entitlement (1 month) and I will only be paid SSP from that point until my return to work.
I dont have a contract as it is only a small company. Is it right that he can stop my sick pay and put me on SSP or am i entitled to full pay for a longer period ?

I'm sorry but your employer is quite within their rights to do this, they have no legal obligation to continue to pay you at your normal rate of pay.
Most small employers only pay SSP from the start - its at the discretion of the company.
Although your employer should of provided you with a written contract with the first two weeks of your employment by law.
I run my own business and we employ 7 people - when my staff are off sick we will pay full pay if the company can afford to at the time but if not then they only get SSP, but this is stated in their contract of employment.

If you have your full license (in UK) then maybe a Suzuki SV650, or a Bandit 600. I've got a sports bike, but I'd love a second one for commuting, and apparently the above are ideal. You've got Auckland not tooooo far away if you want a bigger city and so many fab beaches, plus the Coromandel and Bay of Islands if you fancy travelling a bit further. My only other suggestion would be to live in some where like Paraparaumu....it's on the coast at the bottom of the North Island, just a train ride away from Wellington (which is the BEST city for culture, and the prettiest!!). Whakatane is a nice town right on the coast with the sea and rivers it's awesome. it is only an hours drive from here to 2 major cities if you need to do anymore shopping. I need advise on protecting my Computer?
I need advise on protecting my computer. Several things are going
on I cannot explain. I am not experienced in things like this so forgive me.
I'm having serious problems being able to view pages using IE.
3/4 of the time I keep getting a ie cannot show this page kind of
message. In addition programs that worked one day are mysteriously not working a few days later. Even though I haven't
used them.
I've just scanned my system for viruses, adware, spyware, malware etc and have found low to medium threats. I've removed
them. Inspite of removing threats things are going on I cannot
explain. I may be inexperienced but I'm not so that I could wreak this kind of havoc on my own system.
I do run norton, zone alarm, windows defender, ad-aware and a
program that looks for malware. But I still think that my system is
being jacked with from the outside.
My windows update doesn't work right. I have trouble updating norton and other stuff.

The bar trade can be very up and down, when the big football matches are on he can take 鈧?000 per night... but i have witnessed myself as being the best and only customer during some winter periods.
I think the lease to his first bar was approx 鈧?5K for 10 years, but when he sold that first bar i imagine he would have re-couped most of that.

I have a natural gas fire place, I am not using it, however at times, I get strong smell of natural gas around the gas mechanical key hole? I have a 4year old at home and currently keeping him away from playing around that area.

That doesn't mean the leak goes away.
If a leak is detected, call a plumber to correct the problem; and be sure that there is a shut-off valve installed just for the fireplace. The valve you have by the fireplace is more than likely listed as a “Control” valve; along with that, Code requires a listed “gas cock” or shut off valve.

I've never had to do anything other than a 5 minute presentation and I need help with idea on how to keep the class engaged. Both my partners aren't very helpful other than that they want to play games (which isn't bad but we need to be somewhat serious).

Well since your partners like to play games and you want your audience to be interactive, have them design a game that the class can play but will still teach the elements that you want. You might want to give a short presentation first on what you are going to teach them (the history facts that you want them to learn) and then the game could see what material they retained. Other than that to engage the audience you should always ask them open ended questions to keep their attention and then make sure you give them the correct answers. An open ended question is a question that they cannot answer with a one word answer.

The age of expolation had a lot going on all over the world, so if you could get a world map and then show the events and voyages on the map as you go, that would help stretch the presentation. Categorize your presentation by focusing on a number of voyages or presentations, breaking the 40 minutes into smaller, easier to handle segments. To keep the class engaged charts, handouts, and powerpoint go a long ways.
I think a trivia game at the end will be a good way. Split the class into 2 teams and bring in prizes for the winning team. Make the questions about your presentation. Not only will this keep the class engaged during the boring part of your presentation but it will take up a lot of time. Just make a lot of trivia questions.
Also a funny video is good. I do that a lot for school presentations. Make it funny and the class will pay attention. Another good time-filler.
There are two approaches - Serious and light-hearted
Serious - make a power point presentation. Have handouts with 3 slides per page and they can take notes as you give them the information.
Light Hearted - Have you seen the game show Jeopardy! Play Jeopardy with the different categories - English exploration, Spanish, New World, South American, etc. The categories are endless. Have bells or whistles to signal. have different groups play against each other. You will be giving them the information, and stimulating them to come up with the question.
Don't just sit there stating facts, ask the class questions like ';does anyone know what this is?'; and what not. I know when i have to sit and listen to a long presentation, the more involved they are with the audience, the less boring it isnatural cosmetics

the problem is my husband won't eat alone when we are in park or museum. usually only junk food is available in such places. so, I would rather skip the meal, because I stick to diet and care about my body. but he doesn't want to eat alone. so, he is hungry and looks at me as it's my fault. A four to five hour drive in each direction (150-250 miles each way) would literally catch hundreds of attractions. Such an answer would be much too large for YA and a three day trip. However, there is much to do just within Niagara Falls, Ontario.
The Table Rock complex (basically the closest you can officially get to the cataracts in an official capacity) is the site of the Journey Behind the Falls attraction and the Niagara's Fury attraction. Anybody who goes to Niagara Falls has to ride on The Maid of The Mist at least once. I would add a mention for Marineland, the Butterfly Conservatory and Bird Kingdom. Each furthers the nature theme set by the falls in their own way.
How about eating a meal up in either of the Skylon Tower's windowed restaurants and finishing with a visit to the observation deck? The meals in the Revolving Dining room start at $25 for lunch and $40 for dinner. The Summit Suite Dining Room's lunch buffet is $28 and the dinner buffet is $35-$40. Those prices include free admission to the observation deck (normally $12.95), so that's worth about a third of your meal price. Another meal choice might be to eat at Elements on the Falls in that previously mentioned remodeled Table Rock complex. They boast that they are the ';Closest Restaurant to the Falls';. Their lunches start at $14 and dinner ranges between $18-$30. When considering these prices, keep in mind that you're at either place for the spectacle and the surroundings as much as you're there for the food.

Going a couple of hours from the Falls you can get to places like Canada's wonderland, Toronto and London Ontario.
All these places are good to see but really the list is endless.

Up the road in Niagara-on-the-Lake there are plenty of vineyards that you can take a tour of, a butterfly conservancy, and the Shaw festival. Try Joico's K-Pak. That's exactly what it's for. Use it once a week to get some strength back in your hair. Wash once or twice a week, and I would suggest Joico's ';Silk Results'; for other shampooing. Leave conditioner on after shampooing and wrap your hair in a hot towel right out of the dryer until the towel is completely room temperature. I use the cheapest crap on the planet because each time I shampoo and condition I use about a quarter cup of conditioner.
The best ones I have found while growing it- I have had my hair this long FOUR times in my life-I am 5'8'; and it is about to the center of my thighs-is
VO5 original shampoo %26amp; cond, TreSemme, and the WalMart ripoffs of Pantene and Nexxus.
The secret is that when you finish a bottle you never go back to the same brand.
Your hair is smart and will become dull when it is accustomed to the waxes and chems in the product.

I'm 17 in 11th Grade I'm known in school for two things Varsity Baseball (I'm the Captain) and I'm the master Joker and Prankster, I got straight As though I have a 3.926 GPA but conduct yeah I like having fun lets leave it at that. Any advice, books, or tips to help him become more independent and confident. He has a lot of potential but I'm afraid that he will get pushed aside. He has always had a sensitive side from day one. * Let him choose one or two activities outside of school, where he will meet new kids in a nonthreatening environment. Working on a hobby, art, or sport together will help him build up his social skills with less pressure. Summer camp is also a great opportunity to meet kids who haven't already labeled him as ';the shy kid.';
* Encourage him to volunteer; he's old enough to help out at a day-care center, a home for the elderly, a hospital, or an animal shelter. Helping others will contribute to his sense of self-worth and also allow him to meet other good kids.
* Don't push him too hard. If he begins to feel that he must make friends in order to make YOU happy -- as well as himself -- he will feel even more anxious about the process.
* Some boys do take longer to mature than others; if he has even one or two true friends, it's all right to let him just develop at his own pace. Show him that High School is just a few short years in his life and encourage him to keep it in perspective. And know this: the best confidence booster of all is for him to feel loved and accepted for the intelligent, good looking, shy, tentative, great child he is.

For my brother, he got into Art and working with wood. Encourage his interests and help him develop them. What will help is if he becomes knowledgable about something and other people ask HIM question (how did you do that??) - it's a great confidence builder.

Fibromyalgia advise PLEASE! My mother is suffering from what we believe?
to be Fibromyalgia. She is going to see a Neurologist (probably her 5th doctor) tomorrow but is scared that the doctor will also just give her some medicine which after all these years hasn't helped. Acupuncture helped a little bit, so did pilates. Honestly you have to just work through the pain sometimes to get a bit better, as much as it hurts you can't try and live life by stopping because it hurts. With that being said, know your limits and triggers, get plenty of sleep, sometimes sleep is the only way to avoid the pain. She should ask her neurologist if he can help with it (I was diagnosed by a rheumatologist, but I don't know if things have changed in the past 6 years), but once it's been diagnosed her primary care doctor should be able to follow up on it with her. You just have to keep in mind that what works for some people, doesn't work at all for others. Medications like lyrica and neurontin can only go so far. Just keep trying different forms of alternative medicine (like acupuncture, yoga, biofeedback/neurofeedback). There's not going to be any definitive answer that's going to help her out, you have to experiment. I've tried all kinds of therapies, medications, physical activities, supplements, dietary restrictions and the like, and it's just hit and miss.
My fibro was diagnosed by a rheumatologist by testing (poking) for the pressure points. He put me on some meds--which helped only a little. The symptom that sent me to my general practitioner (who referred me to the rheumatologist) was difficulty breathing. The referral was made after tests ruled out heart disease (I was only in my 40s at the time, although I have been diagnosed for about 10-15 years now).
A friend with fibro loaned me some newsletters (I wish I could remember the source) and I read about some promising research with CoQ10, and some with magnesium. After taking 100 mg of CoQ10 for only 3 days, I could breathe better.
Now I am taking calcium and magnesium for bone health, and several other supplements for general health, and I feel much better until I get under a lot of stress. I have had to learn to pace myself to no longer burn the candle at both ends.

it is a disorder of the central nervous system--but most docs--including rheumatologists and neurologists are incompetant when it comes to fibro---

when i had a seizure and head injury-i tried 4 neurologists--until i stopped telling them of my history of fibro--than they were willing to talk to me.....otherwise they say--your fine/stay active--and I was not fine--i have permanant brain damage.

Acupuncture helped a little bit, so did pilates. Honestly you have to just work through the pain sometimes to get a bit better, as much as it hurts you can't try and live life by stopping because it hurts. With that being said, know your limits and triggers, get plenty of sleep, sometimes sleep is the only way to avoid the pain. She should ask her neurologist if he can help with it (I was diagnosed by a rheumatologist, but I don't know if things have changed in the past 6 years), but once it's been diagnosed her primary care doctor should be able to follow up on it with her. You just have to keep in mind that what works for some people, doesn't work at all for others. Medications like lyrica and neurontin can only go so far. Just keep trying different forms of alternative medicine (like acupuncture, yoga, biofeedback/neurofeedback). There's not going to be any definitive answer that's going to help her out, you have to experiment. I've tried all kinds of therapies, medications, physical activities, supplements, dietary restrictions and the like, and it's just hit and miss.
My fibro was diagnosed by a rheumatologist by testing (poking) for the pressure points. He put me on some meds--which helped only a little. The symptom that sent me to my general practitioner (who referred me to the rheumatologist) was difficulty breathing. The referral was made after tests ruled out heart disease (I was only in my 40s at the time, although I have been diagnosed for about 10-15 years now).
A friend with fibro loaned me some newsletters (I wish I could remember the source) and I read about some promising research with CoQ10, and some with magnesium. After taking 100 mg of CoQ10 for only 3 days, I could breathe better.
Now I am taking calcium and magnesium for bone health, and several other supplements for general health, and I feel much better until I get under a lot of stress. I have had to learn to pace myself to no longer burn the candle at both ends.

Plastic Bags are a big no no they can pass on a nasty charge which will destroy the hardware. Even with anti-static bags you will need to be very carefull with them as they are very delicate. A better but more expsensive would be to mail the computer to your new address whole. Computers come whole so we know that they can be transported whole. Protect the case will foam etc.
